The Department of Labor is excited to present Federal Tech Day 2023, in partnership with the Department of Energy and U.S. Chief Information Officers Council!


Join us on Thursday, May 18, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET for an interactive showcase celebrating the innovative technology developed by federal agencies to help deliver their program’s mission.

Purpose: Impact Through Innovation

Federal Tech Day brings together federal agencies to display innovative technology, build inter-agency partnerships and collaboration, and improve staff technology readiness. These exhibits will offer interactive and educational demonstrations that showcase the federal government’s Impact through Innovation.

The technologies and solutions developed by federal agencies have a direct impact not only on agency mission outcomes, but on the lives of America’s public. Development of this technology is a collaborative process dependent on the sharing of ideas, challenges, and discoveries.

The tech expo will feature hands-on exhibits from the Department of Labor, the Department of Energy, and other federal agencies; anticipated keynote speeches by White House representatives and federal agency leadership; and presentations on trending topics in technology.

Federal Tech Day is open to all who work in support of federal, state, and local government, including government employees and contractors.

Pre-registration is required for this event. This event will be closed to vendors or industry representatives.
We highly encourage attendees to join us in-person at the Frances Perkins Building in Washington, D.C. to experience the interactive elements of this event to the fullest. However, we are also offering a robust virtual platform for attendees outside the D.C. Metro area. Please be sure to indicate whether you will join in-person or virtually during your registration.
The U.S. Department of Labor’s Frances Perkins Building is located at 200 Constitution Ave NW, on the northeast corner of Constitution Avenue and 3rd Street NW in Washington, D.C. The Visitor's Entrance, referred to as the Fountain Entrance, is one block north of Constitution Avenue on 3rd Street NW at 3rd and C Streets NW. Due to limited parking in the area and traffic congestion, Metro is the easiest way to access the DOL Building. View metro and driving instructions.
Each attendee is required to go through an airport-style security screening to enter the building.
• Please ensure you bring your federally issued ID badge, or PIV card.
• Remove any laptops or electronic devices from their covers or bags.
• Be aware of jewelry or metallic clothing items.
• Weapons of any kind are not permitted on the premises.
The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) is committed to providing accessible resources to all individuals who attend Federal Tech Day.
• ASL interpreters will be on-site for live presentations.
• Simulcast presentations will be live captioned.
• The Frances Perkins Building offers accessible entrances.
• An ADA-compliant shared counter will be installed between all exhibit booths.
